This summer, I have quite a lot of plans. So to make it easier on my self, I'll just list them out.
1) My family is having a family reunion at Fort Robinson in July. We are gonna do a lot there, from horseback riding, to getting to reenact some of the battle that went on at the fort. It is gonna be a great week. 2) I plan on going up to Wayne to get used to the town for college 3) I am going to be working quite a bit during the summer to get that college cash (R.I.P summer tan) and hopefully not need to take out a college loan. 4) On my time off from work, I plan on being with friends and sleeping. Yeah, so my summer plans may not be as big as most, but that list is sure enough for me.

On the internet, there are always funny videos to watch. You just have to know where to look. Personally, I like to watch funny cat videos (yes like a classic cat lady would) when I need a good laugh. Granted, my sense of humor is terrible, so what I find funny may not be for everyone else. Here is one of the videos that makes me laugh the most This video makes me laugh for many reasons and I hope it does for you to.
With senior year coming closer and closer to an end, I can't help but be a bit sad. Yeah, I'm excited to be on my own and go to college, but there has been so many ups and downs from high school that have made me who I am. High school was where I found my true self and found what my passions actually were. In high school, things were all over the place, being so busy at times, that you couldn't even stop to think. Coming into high school freshman year, I was a nervous wreak. I was that small freshman who wanted nothing more than to fit in and stay invisible to the eye. I found a small friend group and went out for a few things like volleyball, one act, musical, and choir. And besides that, I tried to stay invisible. But as I've grown, I started to branch out, become more out there and be more of myself. The person I am at home started to show, and my shy reserved self started to disappear. By my Junior year I wasn't in volleyball anymore, but I spent more of my time on schoolwork and the theater arts. I auditioned for show choir and though I didn't make it in Junior year, I still went and supported the group as much as I could. I tried out for the bigger parts in musical and one act and though I didn't get the bigger parts, I dedicated my time to being the best small role and helper that I could. I think that junior year was the year that I finally found myself and was happy with myself as well. Now, my senior year has flown by and I am content with myself and how it has went. I tried out and made it into show choir and had an amazing time getting to know my group and dance and sing out hearts out. I went out for the promotions group in one act and was the captain for it. I got to share my creative side and love for my one act team by designing beautiful shirts, programs, and posters. I may not have gotten a major part in the actual play, but I wouldn't change anything that happened for the world. Being apart of The Great Gatsby with such an amazing group was worth more than having a big part to me. Our musical is coming up and I'm realizing this will be my last time on that stage, performing for York High School theater. Feeling are high with that one let me tell you haha. So as I reflect on my years of high school, I leave this piece of advice. Don't go through high school trying to be invisible and a part of the crowd. Embrace what you love and let that shine. Let people see the real you. I promise it will make high school easier and worth it, and it will make you happier in the end.
I have many hobbies to keep myself busy. The one that I have been the most into right now is makeup. Makeup to me isn't just putting stuff on your face to alter your appearance. To me, its art. While messing around with makeup, I challenge myself to make something beautiful, whether it be just making a look for a night out, or actually making a design such as a sunset on my eyes. Both looks take time, patience, and effort to look right and beautiful. It is something I am super passionate in and I love being able to just sit back and play around, without worrying what people will think of it. I'm doing it for me, and no one else. And that is why I love it so much.
The Nebraska Flooding has been a big issue, costing billions in damage to food, housings, and land. We have lost about 1.3 Billion dollars in Nebraska's agriculture program, causing many problems. We have been finding countless livestock dead on many of the roads, food for the animals and crops to be produced are scattered everywhere and are now rotting. This issue hasn't happened in about 500 years, and the fact that is happening now is quite terrifying. It makes me upset that I cannot do much to help all these people in need, and help restore the agriculture program come back to how it was right away. This flooding has caused so much loss, and there isn't much we can do about that at this point. But donations are going through from all over the US right now, helping Nebraska out.
When it comes to meme's I'm more of a beginner. Most of my friends who are more into memes, not gonna say names buttttt, will sometimes make fun of me for the ones I like, and sometimes agree. It all depends on preference. The best meme for me is the once that have pictures of The Office as a background. I love the show The Office, and some of the captions people put on pictures of the characters make the whole thing so much funnier than it was. Especially if you know what scene that picture is from. It adds a whole lot more comedy to the show as well. Here are some of my favorites.
When it comes to live, there are a few things I can't live without. Here is that list.
1) My phone: I need my phone for many things and living without it would probably kill me. 2) Food: No one can live without food. DUH 3) Water: ^^^^^^^^ 4) Clothes: Everyone needs clothes. Plus it gives me a way to show of my style. There are so many students at York High School. Many of which don't do things involving any of the arts (sports, theater, speech, etc). This leads many of the students going unrecognized. Each student at York has a special talent, something that they deserve credit for, no matter what they are involved in. Today, I want to focus in one student in particular. Her name is Shelby Crays.
Shelby is one of the most dedicated, influential people I have ever met. She is incredibly smart and kind to all who come up to her. Shelby tends to stay to herself and is overly quiet, but once she gets to know you, she will be one of the greatest people in your life. She has helped me and many others with homework we don't quite understand, and does so with a smile. She is a major part of our Striv team at York. Her screens are always so professional, along with everything she makes or is working on in class. Shelby may not be involved in much throughout the school that would get her a lot of recognition, but she deserves all the recognition in the world. With her determination to succeed, her beautiful personality, and her overall work ethic, she is one of the best people out there and will do great things after high school. Senior year has really flown by. Actually, all of high school has for me honestly. With only 66 days until the last official day of high school, (counting weekends and breaks), I realized just how much I have changed over the years. Freshman year, I came into a school full of people I didn't know, much bigger than the middle school I attended beforehand. I was shy and afraid to speak at all. That stayed pretty consistent throughout freshman year. Sophomore year I had changed a bit. I was more confident with myself and being around all the people in the high school. I expanded my friend group and tried harder in everything I was involved in. By the end of sophomore year, I seemed to be not a new person completely, but instead improved. Junior year I was confident and went in head strong with everything I said and did. I tried not to let the little things bug me and by the end of junior year, I started to accomplish things I had been trying for since freshman year, such as making it into the Show Choir Group for York. This last year, I have been the most confident in myself that I have ever been. I have pushed myself past my limits and accomplished things I never though I could do. I went out of my comfort zone and help my head high. I hope that this growth stays with me throughout my life.
The buyers guide to buying the right microphone.
If you are like me and like to sing into a mic, record videos, or just sing some karaoke, you need to have a microphone. And not just any microphone, you need a good one. So here is my guide to buying the right microphone for you. Step 1: Research your microphone. When getting a microphone, you need to research for the brands that have the best quality for you and your set up. If you want to make sure that a microphone can handle your set up, you need to research the type of microphone you are looking at to make sure you aren't wasting your money on a mic that won't work. Also look up prices per brand as to not over pay what the mic is actually worth. Step 2: Research your seller. If you are buying a used microphone, make you check the seller out as well. Used microphones can come as broken, and if you buy from an untrustworthy seller, you will more likely than not end up paying for a mic that is already broken. Step |
